Paul- vanity, quarter round, transition pieces
Chestnut Electrical - porch light and fan
Time Insulation - Insulation
Inspection- trench (for the moat to keep out zombies)
Lowes flooring guy- checking to make sure the flooring in the garage is water-free

I will need to run to Lowes for supplies- qtr round, faucet, etc.

--------------------------

Chestnue never called, and the inspection for the moat did not get scheduled for today. The insulation got done and flooring guy came to take a look.

I finished the little closet, the piece that needed to be fixed to the 2nd bedroom, and fixed the piece for the large closet. Paul put in 3 transition pieces, and nailed down the metal piece for 2 others also. He also got a little bit of quarter round done, in the 2nd bedroom and a bit in the hall.

I faxed the notice of commencement to the contractor. He will schedule the inspection for Tuesday also.

I dream last night that I had bought a biiiiiig house. Much bigger. Like an old mansion. With 9 or 10 bedrooms, a sleeping space in the attic, a creepy doll, totally weird patchy carpet in one room and then invited like 13 people to come live with me, as well as 8 dogs and numerous other pets. At the end of the dream, a bunch of water was making the ceiling sag, and then it fell through. THE EEEEEENNNDD.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Paul came over again and finished 90% of the living room quarter round and half of my bedroom, then I ran out of supplies. I will have to go to Lowes and buy more. He'll finish it all next week, as well as (hopefully) put in the vanity. I cant wait to have my awesome vanity to use!

Also, the electrician came yesterday morning and installed 3 sockets in the garage. The contractors came today and dug the trench outside the house (something about preventing termites/bugs?). Now I need to get my notice of commencement signed sealed and delivered to the courthouse (notarized and recording then faxed to my contractor). Insulation is scheduled for next Tuesday.

Lowes flooring (for the garage) seems to keep pestering me about when they can come in. Calm down people, you will get your money but things are not ready yet.

Finally everything is moving at a very nice clip. ^_^

EDIT:
Went to the bank with a paper to get notarized, it didn't have anywhere to be signed. Went to the courthouse and got the right paper. Called my contractor for his address information. (Waited at a very long train and 100 stop lights) Went back to the bank to get my form notarized, then back to the courthouse, filed my papers (cost me $10 which I didnt know in advance). All looking like this.

EDIT2:
The old electrician from Lowes called today. He still needs to put in the light by my front door (currently it is hanging out- not "hanging out" but literally hanging out) and make the fan so that it is on the switch by the door, rather than the electrical socket. He will be coming by Tuesday next.

Tuesday next:
Paul- vanity, quarter round, transition pieces
Chestnut Electrical - porch light and fan
Insulation guys - Insulation
Inspection- trench (for the moat to keep out zombies)

Soonish:
Inspection- Electrical
Inspection- trench (for the moat to keep out zombies)
Home Depot- drywall garage
Lowes - flooring garage

I hired a friend of mine to put in quarter round and to put in my vanity. It looks great so far- he finished 2 rooms and started on the hallway.

I finally got my permit from the county! I hired an insulation guy for next next Tuesday.
