Bought some new tree trimming tools off Craigslist. Mark and I got up on the roof and trimmed 2 trees that were hanging over too closely. We also trimmed the bushes in the front yard, that were growing too big and were out of shape.
I broke down some of the old shelving the laundry room, stacked the other ones together instead of standing it in the middle of the floor, swept the whole room, put the molding up so it wasn't in the floor. The laundry room looks way better. I want to paint all the walls in there white to cover all the marks and dirtiness all over the walls. Also, I'm thinking about painting the floor. Its a driveway type flooring, concrete and already painted a light blue. The color is fine but alas, it is very stained and dirty. For now, I just want to get all the junk in that room out. Also fill in the huge drywall hole where the old AC was, fill in some tiny holes and remove a random piece of wood that is attached to the wall (?).
I moved everything around in the dance room, tired ot make all the storage a bit less obvious. We went o Jo-anns to get fabric to cover underneath the shelving. I got a light tan with flowers on it, but it was more expensive than I wanted to spend and when I got it home, I didn't like it. Its too light and you can't see the pattern on it at all. Guess who told me so at Jo-anns. =/ So I will go return it this weekend and get a darker, solid tan. Also, the mirrors still need to go up and I need to get a set of speakers.
I may be getting a new roommate soon, she is coming to look tomorrow. It is a friend I have known since high school and got along well with.
Unfortunately, no pictures this time because I've replaced my computer and now I don't have a tiny SD drive for the camera storage card =(. I'll have to find the cord, if I even have one. But Ive taken a few pictures to illustrate all the things I've been working on lately.
I figured I should start writing about my other house also. Right now, no news though. The plumber from last time didn't exactly fix the problem. My tenant was supposed to call with a date/time that is good to send him back out, but never did. If so, I assume its not that big a deal. I really don't think its running up her water bill that much, a tiny bit of running water.

yard work
I got a riding mower from my old neighbor. I rode it around the back yard and mowed down all those weeds. He took down a ton of branches from the orange tree and the tree closest to the house. He took off a bunch of branches from the huge oak that was overhanging the house and I raked off the roof. We pulled out a ton of the debris (dead trees etc) that were hanging out by the fence. He wasnt able to take all of the waste but he got a lot of it. We also cleaned out the pond in the front yard and pulled out a ton of weeds there too.
